I wish i knew

After reading a book called the compound effect I began to wonder. If rather than spending the $5 I had each day over my working life at Circle K each morning, I had invested the money with just a 10% annual yield, in ten more years I would have over $2.5 million dollars.

I titled this I wish I knew but even knowing now I don’t stop myself from spending that $5 per day.

I roughly have 15 years left in my working life. If I took just $20,000 today and invested it, adding $6,000 per year (Basically lunch at McDonalds each day), I would have another $255K when I retire. What could I do with an extra $250K obtained basically by doing nothing.
